On the top of a hill, a small walk from the train station, is the medieval town and castle of Gruyères. Even though it was cloudy, the day was still pretty picturesque. In town, I had my very first taste of real Swiss fondue. Amusingly enough, in this quaint medieval town on a hill in the Alps, there's an H. R. Giger museum, right out of sight, with sculptures that look straight out of the Alien movies.
While I don't have any images from it, my day ended at a Swiss chocolate factory back down the train line, making this a Very Good Day for eating and exploring.
