When we got to Storm King and I got out my camera kit, I was disheartened to see that I only had my "weird stuff" filters with me, specifically my infrared, 10-Stop ND, and my night sky filter (which wasn't going to do me any good during the day). But the I came across "The Mermaid" by Roy Lichtenstein. It felt like the perfect composition for another stab at infrared photography.
I took two pictures, one infrared, one with my 10-Stop ND, and I loved them both. I edited them both separately, but thought it'd look even better if I could mix and match the two, so this final composition is a masked version of the color image overlaid on the infrared image. The power of tripods!
