As we walked into Storm King, I clocked this specific composition featuring "The Arch" by Alexander Calder and made a note to come back and shoot it on our way out. I already knew I liked my infrared shots from earlier, so I again did this as a 10-Stop ND long exposure and then again as an IR shot.
When I started editing this, this particular IR false color white balance (called "Candy") jumped out at me because it preserved some of the fall foliage colors. My wife, though, clocked this as looking like a scene from the marketing material for Sleep Token's new album, Even in Arcadia, and then it couldn't be unseen. We even decided that The Arch could be Jerry.
