The image depicts the interior of a grand cathedral, shot from a low angle looking straight up. Dominating the view is the soaring, vaulted ceiling, a complex network of stone ribs intersecting to form a series of pointed arches and diamond-shaped panels. Small, decorative floral motifs adorn the intersections of the ribs. Light filters in through arched windows high above on either side, illuminating the ceiling with a soft, diffused glow. Below, massive columns line the nave, their surfaces subtly textured and adorned with carved details.
