This is a photo of a mine shaft in a salt mine. It appears to be an old mine as the walls are made of rough-hewn wood and the shaft itself is fairly narrow. A thick rope is hanging from a wooden beam across the top of the shaft. The rope is attached to a large, round, heavy object. The bottom of the shaft is covered with loose stones. A small wooden ladder leans against the wall next to a sign that reads, "Szybik Antonia Pol XVII W. The Antonia Fore-Shaft Mid 17th C." The sign appears to be white with black lettering on it. There is a soft light shining from the bottom of the shaft and a small light on the wall.
